A compact apartment had to hold a home and a working studio without either one taking over. The answer was a single twelve-metre joinery wall that absorbs storage, wardrobe, desk, kitchen and bed into one continuous face.
With the clutter of daily life folded away, the remaining floor is left almost empty — one long sightline from the entrance to the balcony that makes a small home read as a generous one.
Everything visible is either structure, light or something the owners genuinely use. Nothing was added that the space did not need to work well.
Proportion
A compact footprint is made generous by keeping one uninterrupted sightline.
Philosophy
Nothing is added that the space does not need to work well.
